Viruses r considered to be a link between living and non-living.Hence,it is not possible to exclusively categorise them as living beings and hence they cannot be kept under any of the kingdoms.
Why aren't viruses in any of the kingdoms?spyware remove Because viruses are still being debated over whether they are a living creature or not. If people are still unsure whether they are lviing are not they won't be included in any kingdom.
Why aren't viruses in any of the kingdoms?virus protection A Virus is an errant strand of DNA. They exist and replicate within functional cells of living creatures. This process creates protien strands that are alien to the body the Virus has infected, and makes us sick - Depending upon what these protiens strands do, you can have anything from a Aids to the Flu...
Even so, these virus fail to produce thier own cells, and as such are not part of the Fauna nor Flora kingdoms.
They are parasitic molecules at best...
They're not living things. No metabolism, not alive.
Viruses do not belong to any kingdom because they are actually not living things and were detected just on 20th century!
They are microorganisms like bacteria and yeasts, but so simple that they cannot have a metabolism of their own like other microorganisms do, they cannot even reproduce themselves...they are just packages of nucleic acids and proteins. They have to enter into some other organism having active metabolism and give their genetic code to this organism - and this host shall take care of the reproduction of the virus.
Traditional kingdoms like animals and plants were detected by naked eye and classified from ancient times. Viruses are so small that the can be detected only with electron microscope, first time not before 20th century.
They are actually very mach like machines but because they consist of biopolymers (RNA, DNA, proteins), they still belong into the living world - no matter they cannot live independently!
