Is Limewire full of viruses and spywares?

coz wen i scanned my comp usin spywarebot it detected alot of file from limewire

so yea i was just wonderin does anyone know a better program like limewire

I use limewire all the time. you just need to be carefull. I run spyware doctor ($30) and have never had an infection from limewire. then again I save the files to my desk top and then right click them and click scan for virus. if clean then I download if not clean then I delete them. no virus can download. hope this helps. good luck.

if you download programs yes and if videos they might have some virus and they mostly porn

better program to download stuff is torrents
Limewire hasn't. It's what u dowload from other people where the problem lies. I run Limewire behind a firewall and download,touch would i haven't had any problems. At the same time I have blocked ppl uploading from me as they can put virus's on my machine. I know it supposed to be p2p but I don't give a rats.
OK first i love limewire its a great fast P2P program

but you do have to pay attention ....

get used to the file sizes that you download

dont open EXE file without scanning with anti-virus
