To teach us that we are not safe! Some people send them just for fun, some for the money, some for security purposes.
they dont get any so they send virus's to other ppl's computers, its like their version of sti's and clamydia
Tell you what, I've just got rid of one that was a real pain in the butt for weeks. It slowed my machine down to a virtual standstill and then locked it up all the time. If I ever catch the twat that sent it, he'll be picking his teeth up with broken fingers for sure.
Usually there is more than a "Just because" reason behind viruses, some to infiltrate computers and collect them as what is effectively now known as a 'zombie' to collectively attack websites and bring them down by exceeding the bandwidth.
