Turn on avast anti-virus...if you don't have it go download it. Also think about what your downloading before you do it. First, songs won't be ''112kb'' they are usually 3-4mbs or more. Also your better off just downloading and using torrents. You get alot more crap a lot easier and safer.

Limewire isn't where the virus lies. You can get viruses off of Limewire from the people you're downloading from. It's not what you're wanting to hear however, you have no protection while using Microsoft Windows 98 as it has now been completly dropped from Microsoft's line of operating systems. 1) Reinstall the software via command line: Type in your cd-rom drive letter name followed by a colon(:), type in setup or setup.exe, then press Enter/Return key. Let it install. But get your product key, you need to reinstall the software. I reinstalled and got everything back minus the virus, but I don't know if it is the same for any other PC.
2) Get rid of Windows and everything made by Windows [Windows XP, etc..., Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, etc... plus everything that automatically installs along with Windows] and get a Mac or format your hard drive and install Linux.

I think that the papers seem to say ''It is a look alike virus''. not really Norwalk, but the symptoms resemble Norwalk. It comes and goes so fast (less than 24 hrs) that they cannot tell for sure.

I have no experience of games, however shareware and freeware are not as nasty as you might expect providing you take obvious precautions.
In fact there are several useful and effective freeware programs that can help you to do this.
The most obvious precaution is not to download, and certainly not to run, anything from sites you do not trust.
Use a good firewall - there is one built in to Windows XP SP2, or try 'Zone Alarm' which is freeware and highly recommended.
There are many effective freeware antivirus utilities, for example 'Avast! Antivirus'.
You will also need anti-spyware %26 anti-adware utilities. Again there are many effective freeware utilities, notably 'AdAware', 'Spybot Search and Destroy' and Microsofts beta release of 'Microsoft Antispyware'. It is wise to use two or three programs - one individual program is unlikely to catch all the spyware, adware, or viruses, etc. BUT don't have two antivirus programs running simultaneously - this can create problems.

Can PSPs get virues, spyware, adware or anything else? The reason im asking this is because i went to sites that had fastclick ads popup also i went to smiley central by accident!
What do you mean by PSP? are you talking about file extension psp like from photoshop? or are you talking about the Sony PSP device?
In either case, the answer is yes.. you can get viruses and other malware.
The first sony PSP virus was found almost 2 years ago...

yes there are a few viruses. ive had a mac for 2 yrs. and dont use anti virus or firewall. i know its kinda stupid but i really never saw a need for it. btw, the few viruses on mac systems are not very harmful and the updates issued by apple every few months make improvements on security so that new viruses will not be able to attack you.

Hi, yeah Mac OS X does have a few worms out for it. You just have to be careful no matter what OS u use. Also always run a firewall.

Most people use Windows, so programmers usually make viruses for Windows because that way they can infect more people. If you use MAC or Linux you're less likely to get a virus, but it's still possible.
To get a virus in Linux you'd have to manually install it, because a virus couldn't do any serious damage to your computer without your permission.
So if you don't want to get viruses, the best thing you could do is to get a PC and install Linux

No browser is a replacement for an anti-virus and anti-spyware program, but Firefox is updated VERY often and you can add-on extensions which make it even more safe (adblocker, script blocker, etc.) Internet Explorer gets updated maybe once a month when Microsoft decides to patch a few holes, Firefox gets updated within a few days. I have been using it since version 1.3 and I have NEVER gotten a virus through firefox. I have never gotten a virus through Internet Explorer either (but that's because it usually crashes every five minutes).

No web browser is infallible. Internet Explorer is built in such a way that it allows stuff to leak in without your knowledge.
Firefox is open source, meaning that lots of people have worked on it and a lot of ideas are put into it. It is built off of a more stable programming platform and it is designed to be more secure.
Firefox is better but it alone won't prevent viruses and other forms of malware. Your best bet is to run it with an antivirus/antispyware in the background.

As another answerer said, rabbits generally do not make good pets for young children. Most rabbits do not enjoy being held or cuddled for long periods of time and they do scratch (usually accidentally) and bite, and trust me, both hurt!
To answer your question, the risk of getting any illness from a rabbit is very, very low. In the few cases I've heard of where diseases have gone from rabbit to human, it's usually involved eating the rabbit, not handling in it.
I've been breeding and showing rabbits for almost 8 years now and so I've had constant exposure to rabbits, their bodily fluids, and I've been scratched more times than I can count and bitten a few times, too. So far, nothing's killed me.
There is more of a risk that your daughter will give a rabbit any viruses going than the way around.
