Myspace and YouTube are both in the top 10 most visited sites in the world. People get spam on Myspace by fake sign in pages made by other people. You get to these sign in pages by simply clicking on something someone else has posted. For example ''Find your soul mate! Click here!'' They, of course, didn't post that. Someone is using their account by getting their password and posting whatever they please. You can fix that by changing your password so they can't get on your account anymore.
YouTube doesn't really have any serious spam problems. So they are both safe to use.

but if you like to click on everything (like my dad)
then you will get a virus/malware..
best thing to do is just go around myspace and youtube and don't click on so many of the links to other websites..
keep yourself on myspace or youtube or other websites you trust.
