BearShare Lite, the program, has the WhenUSave adware crap built in. Get rid of it. It's a piece of garbage that steals resources from your computer.
On top of that, Bearshare (and eMule) were included in the lawsuit that the record companies launched against LimeWire. BearShare and eMule caved. BearShare was sold to the Imesh/MusicLab people. LimeWire may soon follow in their tracks.
Better to use FrostWire or Ares.

You have to be careful. I have a trojan now because of one. If you stay with mostly music files you will be ok. The zipped prgrams are where its like a mine field. You have to tip-toe around and look for the clues it could be bogus. I missed.
