Limewire does not cause viruses. You use limewire to download files that are infected with viruses.

Limewire itself does not cause viruses atleast I found. I downloaded it here http://www.limewire.com. When you get limewire you download the songs, images, videos, etc. yourself. Audio files (songs) don't usualy download viruses with them but I found some videos would get viruses but I have virus protection on my computer so if you have that you should be fine. So in total it depends on what you want limewire for. If it's music then no it wont but some videos might cause viruses. I found when downloading music videos I would sometimes get porn which caused I virus. So watch out for that! When downloading music videos make sure it is not just porn because that will cause a virus for sure!

Unfortunatley, all P2P programs carry the risk for viruses. Just make sure to keep your virus scanner and Ad-ware programs up-to-date and always scan everything =D
if u downloaded the program from their official site, then no. You could get viruses from the program though, if ur computer isnt well protected. its a p2p program, so it just connects ur computers to others, so u do leave urself open. but no, the actual program shouldnt contain any viruses, unless u got it from another source.
