Depends on what you download.

Here are some tips to avoid getting a virus with lime that i found:

Never download the porn, even if it sounds good

Never download document files or dll files

Never download files that appear to be too small than you expect. example: an mp3 should be 3mb at least and not 1mb or below (Virus)

Downloading a movie should be above 5mb even small clips should be as well, anything below that is spam.

All programs should be above 30mb unless you are sure about the size.

Limewire is noted for downloading viruses.. and anyway you should not be using limewire to pirate software... it is against the law
Lime wire is full of Trojans-I wont let anyone on my computer access it.
Basically, the only way out if you really want to download the the songs and music is to first download it and then scan it with your antivirus before opening it. Also, yea use common sense when you download something, like the guy above me said, a different files have a certain size.
